The habit matters more than the parameter. Write the subject description once and never reword it between prompts. Review the set together before upscaling. Fix drift by regenerating, not by editing.

05Parameter Cheat Sheet

--v 8.2 - the model doing the work. V8.2 is the current default. --s 100 - stylize. Low follows your words. High applies the house aesthetic. --ar 1:1 - aspect ratio. Set it before you generate, never crop after. --no text, watermark - the no parameter. Supported on V6, V7 and V8. Quality is not supported on V8.1 or V8.2. Use V7 if you need a quality flag. Multi prompts are not listed as V8 family compatible.

Key facts

V8.2 is the defaultV8.2 became the default on 24 July 2026. V8.1 shipped in April.Any guide written before those dates may teach parameters that no longer apply.
cref is dead on V8Character Reference and cw are a V6 and Niji 6 control only.On V7 or V8 the flag is ignored and your characters drift anyway.
Omni Reference forces V7Attaching an oref image runs the job on V7 even if you selected V8.Your output suddenly looks different and the prompt is not the reason.
Omni Reference costs moreIt runs at roughly twice the GPU time of a normal V7 job.High volume character work gets expensive faster than people expect.
Quality is gone on V8The quality parameter is not supported on V8.1 or V8.2.If you need q 2 or q 4 you have to drop back to V7.
